报告人简介:

王学斌,安徽合肥人。早前就读于在中国科技大学(学士)、中国科学院化学研究所(硕士和博士)。先后在美国Columbia、Washington state University和太平洋西北国家实验室从事专职科研工作,,目前是Pacific Northwest National Laboratory 和 Washington State University双聘教授。长期致力于分子离子团簇方面的研究。近年来主要在多电子阴离子、溶剂化离子以及团簇分子的光电子能谱研究方面做了许多前沿性探索,发表论文150多篇,以第一作者及通讯联系人身份在Science,Nature,Proc. Natl. Acad. Sci,Phys. Rev. Lett, J. Am. Chem. Soc.,Angew. Chem. Int. Ed.期刊上发表研究论文就多达30余篇

报告内容简介:

Ionic & molecular (including hydrated) clusters with molecular specificity, selected sizes, and controlled compositions are ideal model systems to understand condensed phases processes and obtain molecular-level understanding of environmental materials and solution chemistry. In this talk, I will present our recent research progress on a few topics including (1) ion specific interactions between alkali cations and dicarboxylate dianions; (2) stepwise hydration on a few environmentally important anions; (3) Intrinsic electronic structures of diradical species, and (4) gaseous organometallic species important to homogeneous catalysis.
